Job Description

**Job title:** Machine Learning Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and deploy production‑grade machine learning models that drive intelligent decision‑making for a global logistics platform. Act as a bridge between research and production, ensuring state‑of‑the‑art algorithms are rigorously tested, scalable, and performant in a cloud environment. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, reproducible ML solutions that directly impact customer outcomes. - Maintain high code quality, documentation, and testing standards. - Collaborate continuously with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers in an agile setting. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Innovate and improve predictive modeling and decision‑making pipelines. 2. Translate research‑level techniques (probabilistic models, Bayesian inference, optimisation) into production systems. 3. Build scalable, cloud‑native ML services (AWS, GCP, Azure). 4. Write clean, maintainable Python code and leverage standard ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, etc.). 5. Design experiments, run benchmarks, and monitor model performance in production. 6. Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders and assist in external AI solution storytelling. 7. Continuously enhance personal AI/ML and engineering expertise. **Required Skills:** - Advanced research or industrial experience in machine learning, particularly probabilistic and Bayesian models. - Proficient in designing and implementing ML algorithms at scale. - Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with ML libraries and cloud services. - Experience deploying and maintaining ML systems in production. - Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Agile development experience. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Advanced degree (Ph.D. or MSc) in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or machine learning are a plus.
