Job Description
**Job Title:** Machine Learning Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and validate machine‑learning models to optimize manufacturing processes and material composition. Build and maintain MLOps pipelines, collaborate with engineers and scientists, and contribute to an agile development team delivering scalable AI solutions for advanced metal components. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑impact ML models and features aligned with material and process engineering goals. - Ensure reproducible, automated model lifecycle through robust MLOps practices. - Communicate findings clearly, visualize data insights, and foster cross‑functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and validate novel ML/DL models for process optimization and alloy design. - Engineer meaningful features with domain experts (process engineers, material scientists). - Develop and extend internal ML platforms for model deployment and usage. - Build and operate CI/CD‑enabled MLOps pipelines (Airflow, MLflow, Docker). - Monitor model performance, implement governance, and prioritize rapid capability delivery. - Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Strong Python programming (production‑grade code). - Proven experience developing ML/DL models for complex scientific/engineering problems. - Hands‑on with MLOps tools: Airflow, MLflow, containerization (Docker). - Data‑visualization and storytelling ability. - Interest in material discovery, computer vision, big‑data handling, and optimization. - Excellent communication, problem‑solving, organization, and self‑motivation. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science. - (Optional) Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred.
