**Job Title:** Intermediate DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Hands‑on DevOps professional responsible for planning, executing, and supporting cloud (Azure) and on‑premise software deployments. Ensures system reliability, security, and performance while serving as the primary technical liaison for customers and shielding development teams from operational disruptions.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver stable, repeatable deployments and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide prompt, clear technical support to customer teams.
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve availability or performance issues.
- Automate manual processes and uphold security best practices.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Development, and Customer Success to align on releases and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead end‑to‑end deployment of Dockerized applications to Azure and on‑prem environments.
- Build, maintain, and improve Azure DevOps (or equivalent) CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Serve as first point of contact for deployment‑related customer inquiries.
- Advise customers on architecture, security, infrastructure access, and go‑live readiness.
- Manage Azure resources (VMs/containers, blob storage, virtual networking).
- Implement security controls (Auth0, data access, hardening) across deployments.
- Identify manual workflows and create automation/scripts to streamline them.
- Participate in QA testing, release validation, and documentation creation.
**Required Skills:**
- 2+ years experience in software deployment, DevOps, or technical support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, containers, storage, networking).
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and Linux‑based systems.
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) and infrastructure security.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Azure DevOps; ability to script/automate (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
- Excellent problem‑solving, multitasking, and written/oral communication skills.
- Customer‑facing aptitude and ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Bonus: familiarity with AWS, MongoDB, industrial data protocols (e.g., Inmation, Pi, DeltaV), or data pipeline tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- No specific certifications required; Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑204) are a plus.
