Job Description
Job title: Data Scientist, Data & AI Team Role Summary: Full-cycle data scientist leveraging machine learning and analytics to drive audience engagement, content strategy optimization, and advertising revenue through data-driven insights. Expectations: Hands-on role requiring independent project ownership, collaboration across technical/business teams, and continuous model refinement to address complex media industry challenges. Key Responsibilities: - Own and execute end-to-end data science projects from data collection to production deployment - Develop machine learning models for content recommendations, audience segmentation, user churn prediction, and ad optimization - Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract actionable insights for editorial, product, and commercial strategies - Partner with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines and align solutions with operational needs - Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear reports and presentations - Identify and implement improvements to existing models and analytical workflows Required Skills: - Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL proficiency - Expertise in ML algorithms (logistic regression, random forests, clustering, NLP) - Experience with frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch - Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, BigQuery) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) - Problem-solving in ambiguous environments with business impact prioritization - Effective communication of technical outputs to cross-functional teams Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field - 3+ years professional data science/machine learning experience
