Job Description

Job Title: Data Engineer Role Summary: Senior Data Engineer drives development and optimization of batch/streaming data pipelines using AWS-native tools and orchestration frameworks. Collaborates with architects and teams to deliver governed, AI/ML-ready data products while ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Expectations: 3-7+ years in data engineering with AWS (Glue, Kinesis, Lambda) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions). Hands-on pipeline design, governance implementation, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build scalable data pipelines on AWS using modern orchestration tools. - Collaborate with data architects to implement semantic/canonical data models. - Enable analytics/ML workflows by structuring data for analysts, BI tools, and ML pipelines. - Integrate validation, lineage, and governance standards into pipeline infrastructure. - Mentor junior engineers and promote reusable, platform-first solutions across teams. Required Skills: - AWS services: Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3. - Orchestration: Airflow, Step Functions. - Programming: SQL, Python, PySpark for data transformations. - Data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Informatica. - Pipeline optimization for batch/streaming use cases. - Data governance (metadata, access controls, cataloging).
