Job Description
**Job Title** Stability Engineer (H/F/X) **Role Summary** Design, verify, and optimize the stability of buildings, civil structures and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and national regulations while participating across all project stages—from concept to execution—and providing technical advice and cost‑efficient solutions. **Expectations** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering (construction focus) - Proven experience in structural stability analysis and design (junior or senior level) - Familiarity with Eurocodes and relevant national standards - Proficiency in key design tools (Scia, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Excel with VBA) - Strong problem‑solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage project deliverables - Fluency in Dutch required for Brussels assignments (not mandatory for Charleroi) **Key Responsibilities** - Perform stability calculations and structural element sizing (concrete, steel, timber, composites) - Create and validate finite‑element models of structures using Scia - Draft technical reports, calculation notes, specifications, quantity take‑offs, and cost estimates - Review and approve construction drawings in coordination with drafting personnel - Develop and assess technical alternatives to optimise cost, schedule and performance - Support architects and clients in developing cohesive, regulation‑compliant projects - Attend site meetings, monitor construction progress, and propose corrective measures when issues arise - Advise project teams on the most appropriate technical solutions that balance performance and economics **Required Skills** - Structural analysis & design – stability and dynamic response - Advanced proficiency in Scia, AutoCAD (2D/3D), Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Excel VBA programming for automating calculations - Strong written and verbal communication; assertive presentation of technical findings - Rigorous, precise, organised, proactive, and able to anticipate risks - Team orientation and collaborative project involvement **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering (construction) - Demonstrated knowledge of Eurocodes and national structural standards - Relevant professional certification (e.g., engineer registration) preferred but not mandatory.
