Job Description
**Job Title** Assistant Manager – Innovation Financing (Internship) **Role Summary** Assist in the management of a private credit fund dedicated to financing R&D programmes for SMEs and mid‑cap companies eligible for the R&D tax credit. Responsibilities include financial analysis, credit dossier preparation, committee support, legal documentation, portfolio reporting, and operational fund tasks. **Expectations** - Master‑level student or recent graduate in Economics/Finance, or completing a second part of a gap year. - Prior internship or work experience in investment banking, private equity, audit, transaction services, or equivalent finance role. - Proficiency in office software; strong analytical and financial modelling skills. - Excellent written and oral communication; ability to synthesize complex information. - Independent, detail‑oriented, and able to work autonomously. - Native proficiency in French and fluent in English. **Key Responsibilities** - Produce detailed summary notes on financed companies: business activity, financial health, ownership, and R&D programmes. - Calculate financial components for each file (deal price, discounts, repayment amounts, interest). - Prepare and format credit dossiers for the fund’s investment committee, coordinate external expert opinions, present dossiers in committee, and draft meeting minutes. - Draft and manage legal documents for each acquisition (contracts, loan assignment notices). - Report portfolio performance to investors and senior management; prepare regular investment reports. - Handle fund operational tasks: payment orders, correspondence, and miscellaneous administrative duties. **Required Skills** - Financial modelling and valuation. - Credit analysis and term‑sheet development. - Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word. - Strong written communication, presentation, and synthesis. - Detail orientation and self‑management. - Bilingual: French (native), English (fluent). **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Finance, or related field. - Internship or second part of a gap year qualifies. - No specific certifications required; knowledge of EU investment fund regulations is a plus.
