Job title: Senior Workday Functional Analyst
Role Summary:
Lead the design, configuration, governance, and optimisation of Workday HCM and specialist modules across a multi‑tenant environment. Partner with People and Technology functions to translate high‑level business requirements into scalable, compliant, user‑centric solutions and guide the evolution of the Workday platform.
Expectations:
* Deliver enterprise‑grade configuration across Core HCM and multiple specialist modules.
* Maintain governance, tenant optimisation, and security settings.
* Drive continuous improvement of HR workflows, reporting, and data integrity.
* Support the biannual Workday release cycle and strategic roadmap.
* Mentor and coach junior analysts; provide subject‑matter expertise to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead configuration and governance of Workday HCM, including Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, and advanced modules.
* Translate business requirements, process maps, and SOPs into Workday configuration and automation rules.
* Design and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, Prism visualisations, calculated fields, and EIB data exchanges.
* Perform governance tasks: security modeling, integration design, BP logic, condition rules, data cleansing, and audits.
* Coordinate and prioritize configuration work across multiple tenants and releases.
* Collaborate with architects to align Workday design with enterprise architecture.
* Drive adoption of Workday features, best practices, and change management initiatives.
* Advise on integrations, data governance, and field‑level security controls.
* Represent Workday expertise in cross‑functional project meetings, workshops, and presentations.
Required Skills:
* Advanced practical expertise in Workday HCM (Core and specialist modules).
* Hands‑on configuration, reporting, dashboard design, Prism, calculated fields, EIB uploads, and data cleansing.
* Strong understanding of Workday security, integrations, EIBs, BP logic, condition rules, and data governance.
* Experience with Workday integrations and enterprise‑grade configuration.
* Familiarity with Agile and product/project delivery methodologies.
* Ability to lead configuration and product enhancements in a complex, matrixed environment.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Proactive, collaborative, and solution‑focused mindset.
* Exposure to HR transformation, automation, or AI initiatives.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, HR Management or related field.
* Workday certification(s) (e.g., Workday HCM, Workday Financial Management) or Workday Pro accreditation.
* Continuous professional development within Workday and related HR technologies encouraged.
