Job Description

**Job Title** Legal Counsel **Role Summary** Provide legal counsel to a private‑equity backed manufacturing and industrial solutions company. Support senior leadership on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, data protection, corporate governance and employment matters while helping shape the legal function. **Expectations** - Act as the second senior lawyer, advising on complex commercial agreements and diverse legal issues. - Deliver pragmatic, business‑oriented solutions to a technical and commercial stakeholder base. - Influence the development of the in‑house legal structure and processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts across a wide range of transactions. - Advise on data protection, regulatory and compliance matters, corporate governance and employment law. - Provide legal guidance to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, translating legal risks into actionable business decisions. - Support the General Counsel in shaping the legal function and driving strategic initiatives. **Required Skills** - UK or common‑law qualified solicitor with a strong commercial contracts background. - Ability to advise on multiple legal disciplines (data protection, compliance, employment, corporate governance). - Collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset with a commercial perspective. - Strong communication skills for influencing senior stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Qualified solicitor (UK or common law). - Prior in‑house experience preferred but not mandatory.
