**Job Title** Linux Systems Administration Intern **Role Summary** A hands‑on internship focused on managing and optimizing Linux servers for a dynamic web‑development agency. The candidate will administer Linux environments, implement virtualization (Xen/Docker), automate routine tasks, enhance monitoring, and set up CI/CD pipelines. **Expectations** - Strong command of Linux and the command line. - Ability to write and maintain Bash (and optionally Python) scripts. - Willingness to learn new technologies and expand skill set. - Collaborative mindset within a team setting. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Administer Linux servers and virtualized environments (Xen, Docker). 2. Develop and maintain Bash/Python scripts to automate system tasks. 3. Improve existing monitoring solutions (Munin) or propose new tools such as ELK stack or Grafana. 4. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing and deployment. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve system performance or configuration issues. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Linux system administration. - Comfortable with CLI operations and shell scripting. - Experience with virtualization technologies (Xen) and containerization (Docker). - Knowledge of monitoring tools (Munin, ELK, Grafana). - Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and GitLab pipelines. - Basic scripting in Bash; knowledge of Python is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Linux certifications (e.g., LPI, CompTIA Linux+) are advantageous but not mandatory.
