**Job Title**
Cyber Security Analyst / Threat Advisor
**Role Summary**
Provide proactive cyber security services, including threat hunting, vulnerability management, and security advisory for clients. Analyze security data, identify attack paths, and guide remediation to protect client environments across Microsoft 365 and AWS platforms.
**Expectations**
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of M365/Azure security architecture and AWS security configurations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Qualys or comparable tools and prioritize findings.
- Apply network security expertise to evaluate firewalls, segmentation, and trust relationships.
- Communicate risks and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve security posture through tool evaluation and client guidance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform threat hunting and analysis to identify potential attack vectors.
- Execute and interpret vulnerability scans; produce actionable remediation plans.
- Review and assess firewall rules, network segmentation, and configuration baselines.
- Advise clients on security best practices, prioritization of fixes, and risk mitigation.
- Investigate security alerts, validate incidents, and coordinate escalations as needed.
- Evaluate security products for effectiveness, gaps, and alignment with client needs.
- Deliver clear, jargon‑free reports and presentations to stakeholders.
**Required Skills**
- **Microsoft 365 Security:** Identity controls, conditional access, privileged role management, email security, device posture, tenant exposure analysis.
- **AWS Security:** Core security principles, IAM, logging, encryption, and configuration hardening.
- **Vulnerability Management:** Proficiency with Qualys or similar scanning tools; ability to interpret and prioritize findings.
- **Network Security:** Firewall architecture, rule assessment, segmentation, and attacker exploitation techniques.
- **Threat Analysis:** Attack path modeling, misconfiguration risk assessment, exploit chain identification.
- **Analytical/Investigative:** Critical analysis of intent, likelihood, impact; incident investigation mindset.
- **Advisory & Communication:** Client-facing advisory, clear risk explanation, prioritization guidance, stakeholder management.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft 365 Security certifications).
