Job Description

Job Title: Build Engineer Role Summary Design, implement, and maintain build processes for telecom infrastructure projects. Oversee the preparation and installation of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve build‑related issues, and support rapid deployment in dynamic project environments. Expectations - Demonstrated experience with AltNets platforms. - Willingness to travel and work away from base as project demands. - Strong work ethic, proactive problem solving, and adaptability to flexible schedules. Key Responsibilities - Plan, execute, and optimize build operations for telecom sites. - Install and configure hardware and software components, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines. - Conduct pre‑build checks, run diagnostics, and validate system functionality. - Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and vendors to align build schedules and deliverables. - Maintain accurate documentation of build procedures, change logs, and compliance records. - Provide technical support during troubleshooting of build‑related incidents. - Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as required. Required Skills - Proficiency in build planning and execution for telecom infrastructure. - Familiarity with AltNets technology stack and related tooling. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary groups. - Ability to manage time effectively in a fast‑paced, travel‑heavy environment. Required Education & Certifications - Valid UK full driving licence. - SLG, SA001, SA002, IPAF, S008, S007, SA010 (and for TRR Engineer: K008). - Relevant technical or engineering education (e.g., electrical, telecommunications, or industrial engineering). - Willingness to pursue additional certifications as needed.
