Project Manager – Asset Management
Job Description
Job title: Project Manager – Asset Management Role Summary: Lead and deliver cross‑functional projects for a buy‑side asset management firm. Coordinate initiatives across Legal, Operations, and Technology teams, working closely with the COO to ensure on‑time, on‑budget outcomes and alignment with business strategy. Expactations: - 12‑month fixed‑term contract with potential extension. - Strong project governance and risk management. - Ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: - Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with senior stakeholders. - Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; track progress using industry‑standard tools. - Manage resource allocation, status reporting, and issue/risks escalation. - Facilitate cross‑departmental workshops and steering‑committee meetings. - Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Required Skills: - Minimum 5 years experience managing projects in a buy‑side or asset‑management environment. - Deep understanding of asset‑management operations from front‑to‑back processes. - Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana). - Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of influencing senior leadership. - Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. - Right to work in the UK. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred). - Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) highly desirable.
