Job Description
Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer Role Summary: Lead design, development, and implementation of electrical and instrumentation systems for new and retrofit projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical codes. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reliable energy solutions. Expactations: - P.Eng. certification required. - Minimum 5 years of professional experience. Key Responsibilities: - Lead electrical and instrumentation design for capital projects. - Develop technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation. - Supervise installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of E&I systems. - Ensure adherence to CSA, NEC, and industry safety standards. - Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to optimize system solutions. - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. - Support project planning, budgeting, and timeline management. Required Skills: - Expertise in PLCs, DCS, VFDs, instrumentation, and power distribution systems. - Extensive experience with low-voltage (LV) systems. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities. - Proficiency in technical documentation and code compliance. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. - Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license mandatory.
