Job Title: Project and Portfolio Finance Team Member
Role Summary: Deliver structured finance solutions for large‑scale clean energy projects, including debt, tax equity, portfolio, and hybrid structures. Support lenders, investors, consultants, attorneys, and internal partners through financial modeling, due diligence, and ongoing financing management.
Expectations: Build and maintain robust financial models, coordinate due diligence and contract review, manage post‑closing financing, provide sensitivity analysis for strategic decisions, and contribute to portfolio valuation and new opportunity assessment. Drive transparent reporting and stakeholder alignment to enable rapid project growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end‑to‑end financial modeling for construction loans, tax equity, back leverage, and hybrid/holdco transactions.
- Coordinate due diligence cycles with lenders, investors, consultants, and attorneys.
- Review project contracts, economic terms, and third‑party deliverables to ensure readiness for closing.
- Manage existing financing structures, track performance, and report on key metrics.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and working capital modeling in partnership with Asset Management, Construction, and FP&A teams.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to inform EPC, procurement, and offtake decisions.
- Contribute to portfolio valuations and resource allocation across the pipeline.
- Participate in special projects such as M&A, market entry assessments, and technology financeability studies.
Required Skills:
- Advanced financial modeling in Excel, including VBA macros.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder processes under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with capacity to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of U.S. tax‑equity transactions and power markets (preferred).
- Collaborative mindset and proactive stakeholder engagement.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4+ years of experience in clean power, utilities, or infrastructure capital markets.
- Experience with U.S. tax‑equity transactions strongly preferred.
