Job Description
**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer **Role Summary:** Seasoned infrastructure professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a hybrid Azure/on‑premises environment for a financial‑services software platform. Works onsite with cross‑functional IT, development, and business teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud and data‑center resources. **Expectations:** - U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; onsite presence required. - 4+ years of Azure administration and Windows Server/AD experience. - Proven ability to automate infrastructure (IaC) and manage hybrid cloud solutions. - Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support and enhance a hybrid architecture comprising Azure services and VMware‑based Windows servers. - Automate environment provisioning and configuration using Terraform and PowerShell (IaC). - Design and maintain high‑availability solutions with Azure and Windows Server clustering. - Implement and test backup, disaster recovery, and resilience processes across cloud and on‑premises systems. - Administer Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper networking devices (switching, routing, firewalls). - Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and Exchange/Office 365 messaging. - Oversee HP Nimble storage arrays and server hardware in multiple data centers. - Develop and enforce monitoring, security, change‑control, and capacity‑planning policies (ITIL aligned). - Collaborate with Security and Network teams to safeguard infrastructure. - Maintain non‑production environments to support SDLC and software development cycles. - Provide technical guidance on future infrastructure architecture and procurement. **Required Skills:** - Azure administration (4+ years) - Windows Server & Active Directory management (4+ years) - VMware infrastructure support (3+ years) - Enterprise storage array administration (3+ years) - Hybrid cloud integration (2+ years) - Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform (required) - Scripting/automation with PowerShell or similar (required) - Networking knowledge: Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper (configuration and support) - Strong problem‑solving and stakeholder communication **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) - No mandatory certifications; however, VMware VCP‑DCV, Microsoft 365, or HPE Master ASE are considered advantageous.
