Job Description
**Job title:** Employee Relations Associate **Role Summary:** Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, coach managers, and support HR business partners in creating a positive, high‑performing workplace. Maintain compliance with UK employment law, manage confidential case records, and contribute to HR process improvement and change initiatives. **Expactations:** - Deliver accurate, timely ER advice across performance, absence, flexible working, grievances, and restructuring. - Build trusted relationships with managers and employees, acting as a credible partner. - Ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies while driving continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advise on performance management, sickness absence, flexible working requests, and grievance handling. - Coach and train managers on ER best practices, conflict resolution, and employment law. - Collaborate with HRBPs to develop action plans addressing employee concerns. - Support development and rollout of ER policies and procedures. - Conduct engaging training sessions for managers and HR teams. - Maintain confidential case records and ensure legal compliance. - Monitor case law updates and recommend practice enhancements. - Contribute to HR system and process improvements. - Assist HRBPs with organisational change projects (restructures, M&A). - Lead or support specialist projects (DSARs, whistleblowing, SMCR, policy reviews). - Provide ER support to senior HR advisers and HR Services. - Produce and analyse HR metrics to identify trends. - Travel between Bracknell, London, and other offices as required. **Required Skills:** - Excellent verbal and written communication; strong influencing and coaching ability. - High attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities. - Robust organisational skills; ability to manage competing priorities. - Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality. - Values‑driven mindset aligned with personal, performance, and partnership principles. **Required Education & Certifications:** - CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification. - Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law.
