**Job title** Regional Key Account & Business Development Manager – Automotive (m/f/d) **Role Summary** Drive growth and revenue for key automotive accounts across Europe. Manage relationships with Tier 1 suppliers and component manufacturers, develop integrated multi‑modal logistics solutions, and act as the primary point of contact during tender, negotiation and contract execution. Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across transportation modes and e‑commerce to deliver end‑to‑end supply‑chain excellence. The role involves frequent travel (40‑50 % of the year) and demands a networked, solution‑focused professional with deep industry insight. **Expectations** - Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and KPIs for the assigned geographic region. - Expand account penetration by identifying new business opportunities and developing targeted growth strategies. - Maintain high customer stickiness through continuous value delivery, sustainability initiatives and operational excellence. - Deliver accurate forecasts, profit margins and account analytics to senior leadership. - Represent the organization at customer meetings and industry events, enhancing brand presence. **Key Responsibilities** - Identify and secure new business with Tier 1 automotive suppliers and component manufacturers. - Design, propose and negotiate end‑to‑end logistics solutions across air, sea, rail, road and terminal services. - Lead Request‑for‑Quotations (RFQs), contract negotiations, pricing and commercial documentation. - Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with stakeholder functions (operations, engineering, procurement) at customer sites. - Monitor and report on account performance, pipeline health, KPIs and financial results via CRM. - Collaborate with internal teams (multimodal, 2PL/3PL, customs brokerage, e‑commerce) to ensure seamless solution delivery. - Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform strategic planning. - Represent the organization at industry conferences and exhibitions to enhance market visibility. **Required Skills** - Minimum 10 years in supply‑chain/logistics, preferably freight forwarding or automotive manufacturing sectors. - Extensive network within automotive suppliers (e.g., Mercedes, BMW, VW, Bosch). - Proven account management, tender or procurement experience in automotive. - Deep knowledge of multimodal, 2PL/3PL, and customs brokerage operations. - Fluency in English; additional fluency in Spanish, French or Turkish/Eastern European languages is a strong plus. - Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical and data‑interpretation skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities. - Proactive, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, agile environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply‑Chain Management, Business Administration or related field. - Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD, PMP) preferred but not mandatory.
