Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Engineer II **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain medium‑sized features for a finance super‑app serving mid‑market businesses. Deliver user‑facing functionality, internal tools, APIs, and backend services within a regulated environment, ensuring code quality, reliability, and compliance. **Expectations:** - Own feature lifecycle from design to production. - Write clear, maintainable, well‑tested TypeScript code. - Participate actively in code reviews and collaborative problem‑solving. - Balance rapid delivery with system reliability and regulatory compliance. - Communicate product impact and business value of technical decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and deploy user‑facing features, APIs, and backend services using TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and GCP. - Maintain and improve existing systems that other teams depend on. - Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Ensure code meets quality, security, and compliance standards. - Collaborate with product managers and engineers to prioritize high‑impact work. - Contribute to a monorepo workflow with trunk‑based development and frequent releases (3‑5 deployments/week). **Required Skills:** - Strong fundamentals in software development, especially TypeScript. - Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL). - Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform. - Ability to write clean, testable code and maintain long‑term code health. - Good product sense—understanding user impact and business value. - Excellent English communication skills and a proactive work ethic. - Ability to research problems, propose solutions, and take ownership of outcomes. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - No specific certifications required; experience in financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
