Job Description
Job Title: Principle Software Engineer Role Summary: Lead design, development, and delivery of core TypeScript‑based features in a commercial insurance platform, while shaping product strategy and integrating advanced AI/LLM capabilities. Expectations: - Own end‑to‑end feature ownership from concept to production. - Influence product and business direction through technical insight. - Deliver AI‑driven solutions that enhance broker workflows. - Mentor and collaborate in a remote, cross‑functional team. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement scalable React and Node.js components in an all‑TypeScript stack. - Translate complex insurance data models into intuitive user interfaces. - Design and prototype AI agents that support broker decision‑making. - Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to define problems, break them into incremental solutions, and validate with users. - Review code, conduct unit/ integration testing, and ensure high‑quality production deployments. - Participate in architectural discussions and drive technical best practices. - Occasionally travel for team off‑sites and stakeholder meetings. Required Skills: - Extensive experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, or equivalent full‑stack technologies. - Proven track record of shipping production‑ready code at scale. - Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts and data relationships (desirable). - Familiarity with or enthusiasm for applied AI/LLM techniques and product integration. - Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. - Adaptable mindset to learn new technologies and shift priorities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Master’s degree or relevant industry certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
