Job Description: Job title: Software Engineer – Node.js & AWS Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain cloud‑native Node.js applications and services on AWS. Own event‑driven data pipelines and data lake architecture, collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver mission‑critical solutions. Expactations: 4–5+ years of professional software engineering; strong expertise in AWS services (Lambda, S3, Kinesis, etc.); proficiency in Node.js and back‑end best practices; experience with event‑driven systems and data pipelines; hands‑on knowledge of data lake architectures. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js services in a cloud‑native environment. - Design, deploy, and manage event‑driven data pipelines for real‑time data processing. - Expand and maintain the organization’s data lake architecture using AWS technologies. - Collaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership teams to define requirements and deliver solutions. - Work directly with the VP of Engineering on mentorship and high‑impact projects. Required Skills: - 4–5+ years of full‑stack or back‑end software development experience. - Deep knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, S3, Kinesis, etc.). - Strong proficiency in Node.js and modern back‑end architecture patterns. - Hands‑on experience with event‑driven systems and data pipeline design. - Understanding of data lake concepts and implementation. - Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills. - Self‑starter capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment. - Preferred: Exposure to communications platforms (SIP, VoIP, call routing, contact center technologies). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer) preferred.
