Job Description

Job Title: Software Test & Automation Engineer Role Summary: Leverage experience in system‑level software testing to modernise and automate testing processes for high‑precision pharmaceutical equipment. Lead the transition from manual to structured automated testing, collaborate with embedded and systems engineers, and contribute to long‑term automation strategy. Expectations: - Deploy and maintain automated test scripts or frameworks on industrial equipment. - Validate software integrity, functionality, and compliance with quality standards. - Grow automation maturity, taking the function toward becoming a technical lead. Key Responsibilities: - Perform system‑level testing on complex physical machines and associated software. - Design, develop, and execute automated testing scripts using Python, C# or similar. - Use test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, etc.) for defect tracking and documentation. - Write and maintain validation artefacts and structured test documentation. - Collaborate with embedded and systems engineering teams to integrate testing into development cycles. - Contribute to the creation and refinement of an enterprise‑wide automation strategy. Required Skills: - Proven application or system‑level software testing experience. - Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks and tools. - Scripting proficiency in Python, C#, or comparable languages. - Familiarity with test management and defect tracking platforms (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray). - Solid understanding of version control and software release processes. - Knowledge of regulated or quality‑focused development environments is advantageous. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Certifications such as ISTQB or other testing credentials preferred.
