Job Description
**Job Title:** ML Research Intern 2026 **Role Summary:** Conduct research and development of novel machine learning algorithms across multimodal large‑language models, AI for Science, real‑time awareness, and healthcare. Engage in end‑to‑end research workflows: hypothesis generation, model design, experimental validation, and publication. **Expectations:** - Contribute to high‑quality research outputs and peer‑reviewed publications. - Collaborate with senior researchers, adapt to evolving project scopes. - Demonstrate ownership of research milestones within flexible 3‑month internship terms. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement experiments for multimodal reasoning, planning, and agentic generative AI. - Develop and tune deep learning models in PyTorch/TensorFlow. - Perform rigorous evaluation, statistical analysis, and ablation studies. - Author technical reports and draft manuscripts for conference/journal submission. - Present results in internal seminars and contribute to knowledge transfer. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX). - Strong foundation in statistical learning theory, supervised & unsupervised learning. - Experience with multimodal data (vision + language, audio, or sensor streams). - Knowledge of deep learning paradigms: CNNs, transformers, diffusion models, RL. - Data preprocessing, feature engineering, and performance profiling. - Clear scientific writing and ability to explain complex concepts. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment or recent graduate (≤ 4 years) in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - Coursework in machine learning, deep learning, probability, and linear algebra. - No mandatory certifications; strong academic background and code portfolio preferred.
