Job title: Business Data Analyst
Role Summary:
Provide data-driven insights and actionable strategies for client organizations through audience segmentation, predictive modeling, and campaign measurement. Deliver findings to executive leaders via presentations and reports, supporting client growth initiatives.
Expectations:
- 3+ years experience in data or marketing analytics with a client‑facing component.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and transformation.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and data integration tools.
- Ability to design and maintain data models, write and troubleshoot scripts, and configure client infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate and clean incoming customer data; resolve formatting errors.
- Build and manage data models for audience segmentation and predictive analytics.
- Configure client pipelines using Streamlit, AWS, Snowflake, and other relevant tools.
- Conduct monthly matchback processing: review files, execute matchbacks, create pivot tables, analyze results by month, business unit, geography, etc.
- Present performance insights, trends, and optimization recommendations to client leadership.
- Collaborate with account and strategy teams to align analytics with campaign goals and KPIs.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Excel (pivots, formulas, charts).
- SQL for querying and data transformation.
- Familiarity with AWS services, Snowflake, Fivetran, Tableau.
- Experience with predictive modeling/segmentation platforms (e.g., Faraday, Portrait Reports).
- Basic scripting (Python, Shell) for data transformation and automation.
- Strong verbal and written communication; presentation to executive audiences.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing Analytics, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, SnowPro Core) are a plus but not mandatory.
