**Job Title** Azure Security Engineer **Role Summary** Execute a 3‑month contract focused on proactive vulnerability remediation and strengthening Microsoft Azure security posture. Work closely with engineering teams to harden configurations, optimize Defender for Cloud and Endpoint, and reinforce Purview compliance controls, delivering tangible security improvements rather than just identifying issues. **Expactations** - Full ownership of remediation activities across Azure Defender, EASM, and Purview. - Continuous improvement of security score, Defender analytics, and incident response processes. - Deliver measurable reduction in vulnerabilities and advance compliance readiness for ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and NIS 2. **Key Responsibilities** - Remediate vulnerabilities identified by Defender for Cloud and Defender for Endpoint. - Manage External Attack Surface Management findings to improve Microsoft's Secure Score. - Implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, insider risk). - Harden infrastructure: patch deployment, hardening, and policy enforcement. - Support compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIS 2). - Tune Azure Sentinel analytics and facilitate incident response. **Required Skills** - Deep experience with Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and EASM. - Proficiency in Microsoft Purview, DLP, and sensitivity labeling. - Azure identity security: Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM. - Strong PowerShell and Microsoft Graph scripting. - Proven track record delivering vulnerability remediation. **Required Education & Certifications** - **AZ‑500** (Azure Security Engineer Associate) – mandatory. - **SC‑100** (Microsoft Sentinel) – required or in progress. - One of the following: **MS‑500**, **SC‑400**, or **SC‑900** – required.

Expactations: • 5+ years of backend development experience. • 3+ years of professional Python experience (Django, Flask, or comparable frameworks). • Proven track record of delivering performance‑optimized, clean‑architecture code at scale. • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills. • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive initiatives from design to production.
