Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer, Trust & Safety (Full Stack) **Role Summary** Design, build, and maintain privacy‑centric Trust & Safety infrastructure that protects users from abuse and fraud. Own projects from concept through production, collaborating closely with policy and moderation teams to translate policy into scalable technical solutions. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end solutions in a fast‑moving, lean environment. - Own architecture, development, testing, and deployment of new features. - Ship production‑ready code within tight timelines while keeping reliability and performance high. - Maintain data privacy and system integrity across all Trust & Safety functions. - Communicate status and trade‑offs clearly to stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and implement scalable backend systems for Trust & Safety operations. - Develop internal dashboards, tools, and admin panels for investigation and moderation teams. - Build automated content classification, risk scoring, and anomaly‑detection pipelines. - Design and maintain data pipelines that analyze user behavior and surface emerging safety threats. - Translate evolving policy requirements into technical designs and roadmaps. - Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and stability under production loads. - Work independently while prioritizing tasks and delivering on deadlines. **Required Skills** - 4+ years of full‑stack engineering experience, preferably in Trust & Safety, abuse prevention, or platform security. - Expertise in modern backend languages/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) and front‑end stacks (React, Vue). - Proven experience architecting and scaling backend services and data pipelines for policy/legal compliance. - Hands‑on experience building internal dashboards, admin tools, and monitoring dashboards. - Strong background in developing automated moderation, risk scoring, or anomaly‑detection systems. - Deep understanding of balancing user protection, system integrity, and data privacy. - Excellent analytical and debugging skills; ability to process large datasets to reduce false positives. - Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and ship production‑ready code in a startup environment. - U.S. citizenship or Green‑Card holder; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. - Technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are a plus but not required.
