**Job Title**: Head of Platform
**Role Summary**
Lead all platform and technology initiatives within a division of an insurance company, driving digital growth through end‑to‑end platform design and implementation. Manage a technical team, and balance strategic direction with operational execution.

- Own the full platform lifecycle—from concept and architecture to delivery and continuous improvement.
- Align technology strategy with business objectives and financial KPIs.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary technical team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define the platform strategy and roadmap in collaboration with product, operations, and finance leaders.
- Architect and oversee the design, development, integration, and deployment of platforms.
- Manage platform governance, quality standards, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Operate a program management framework to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Establish metrics and dashboard to track platform performance, adoption, and ROI.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high technical standards.
- Engage stakeholders to capture requirements, prioritize initiatives, and communicate progress.
- Ensure proper vendor selection, contract negotiation, and third‑party service delivery.
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience leading complex platform programs and digital transformation projects.
- Strong architecture and engineering expertise in cloud, microservices, API‑first design, and data platforms.
- Program and project management skills (e.g., PMI, Prince2, Agile).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and vice versa.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in metrics, KPIs, and data‑driven decision making.
- Familiarity with insurance or regulated industries is advantageous.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Certified ScrumMaster, or equivalent in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
