Job Description
**Job Title:** Technical Direction Intern **Role Summary:** Support the Technical Direction team in a fast‑paced animation production environment by developing, testing, and maintaining pipeline tools, providing technical assistance to artists, and handling data‑related tasks. **Expectations:** - 24 hours per week (part‑time) on‑site in Glendale, CA (minimum three days in office). - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. - Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. **Key Responsibilities:** - Observe and assist Technical Directors in creating and documenting pipeline tools. - Design, code, and prototype new software applications for large‑scale feature animation. - Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems. - Provide day‑to‑day technical support to production artists. - Perform administrative, data‑wrangling, and project‑tracking tasks as needed. **Required Skills:** - Programming experience (Python, C++, or JavaScript preferred). - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. - Familiarity with version control (Git). - Basic understanding of digital content creation software (e.g., Maya, Houdini, Nuke) is a plus. - Experience with project‑tracking tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate, Bachelor’s, or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Visualization, Digital Media, or a related field (within 6 months of graduation).
