Job Title: Merger & Acquisitions Integration Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead technical integration of acquired or merged organisations into the company’s IT landscape, ensuring seamless connectivity, data migration, system harmonisation, and ongoing post‑merger support.
Expectations:
Deliver on‑time, compliant integration projects with minimal business disruption; provide expert guidance to stakeholders; maintain thorough documentation and lessons learned for future M&A initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with M&A, IT, and business stakeholders to assess integration requirements and develop comprehensive IT integration plans.
- Conduct due‑diligence reviews of target IT infrastructure, applications, data, and security posture.
- Design and implement integration solutions for networks, systems, applications, and cloud environments.
- Oversee migration of data, user accounts, and IT services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; liaise with third‑party vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress, report status updates, and escalates issues to ensure objectives and timelines are met.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after integration to address post‑merger IT issues.
- Document integration processes, configurations, and lessons learned to support future M&A activities.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in cross‑border or international M&A integrations.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Intune or comparable mobile device management solutions.
- Expertise in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and related security practices.
- Ability to analyse complex IT environments, identify integration gaps, and design scalable solutions.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified, Microsoft Intune, ITIL Foundation, or cloud provider credentials (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Certified).
