Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer Role Summary: Develop, enhance, test, and debug desktop 3D CAD/Engineering software for a global BIM platform. Design and implement new features, refactor legacy code, and ensure high performance, stability, and scalability. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, product owners, and external vendors to deliver architecture‑aligned solutions. Expectations: - Deliver clean, maintainable code that meets functional and non‑functional requirements. - Drive technical discussions, mentor junior members, and influence architectural decisions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, customers, and third‑party partners. - Operate within an Agile environment, participating in iterative planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Write, test, and debug C#/.NET code for desktop applications while potentially extending features to web services. 2. Design and implement software components, ensuring adherence to architecture best practices and coding standards. 3. Diagnose and resolve complex issues in large codebases, including performance bottlenecks and stability problems. 4. Refactor existing logic to improve reliability and maintainability. 5. Collaborate with software leaders, architects, and cross‑functional teams to meet business requirements. 6. Serve as liaison for customer support and external software vendors to resolve operational issues. 7. Author technical documentation for architecture and design decisions. 8. Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and requirement discussions. 9. Explore and integrate third‑party services to broaden platform usability. Required Skills: - Proficient in C# and .NET framework. - Experience building and maintaining desktop applications. - Strong object‑oriented design and data‑structure knowledge. - Ability to navigate and modify large codebases. - Expertise in debugging, performance tuning, and refactoring. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor peers. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - Minimum 2+ years of professional software design and development experience. - Professional certifications in .NET/C# or related technologies are a plus but not required.
