Job Description
**Job Title** Data Analyst **Role Summary** Analyze, clean, and visualize nonprofit sector data to generate actionable insights and support evidence‑based impact measurement. Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to build dashboards, reports, and automated pipelines that inform strategy and outreach. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality analytical outputs that drive decision‑making for partners and the broader philanthropic community. - Communicate complex findings in clear, concise formats to both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Maintain alignment with partner‑managed data commons standards and timelines. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and develop interactive data visualizations and dashboards. - Query and report on metrics using SQL and scripting languages (Python, R). - Process, clean, validate, and integrate structured datasets from nonprofit partners. - Conduct exploratory analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, and sampling to uncover insights. - Write technical reports and briefings for the Chief Data Officer. - Code, test, and maintain data pipelines to automate recurring operations. - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity and project deliverables. **Required Skills** - Proficient in SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysis. - Experience with statistical methods: hypothesis testing, regression analysis, sampling. - Strong data visualization expertise (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib/seaborn). - Familiarity with version control (Git) and software development practices. - Excellent written and oral communication in English; able to translate technical results into actionable narratives. - Ability to work independently and adapt to a remote, cross‑global environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Certifications in SQL, Python, R, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist) are advantageous.
