Job Description
Job title: IT Technician Role Summary The role provides end‑user support, hardware/software maintenance, and system administration in a permanent, full‑time office environment for a national company. Expactations - 2+ years of IT support experience. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team. - Excellent communication and documentation abilities. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated. Key Responsibilities - Provide first‑line technical support via help desk, remote tools, and in‑person assistance. - Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and productivity software. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. - Monitor system performance, apply patches and updates, and maintain backup solutions. - Maintain inventory of IT assets and support documentation. - Assist with network administration tasks such as user account management and VPN configuration. - Ensure compliance with security policies and assist in implementing security controls. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge base development. Required Skills - Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and common office suites. - Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). - Familiarity with Active Directory, group policy, and endpoint management. - Remote desktop and ticketing system experience (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Self‑learning and adaptability. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - CompTIA A+ certification preferred; CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate desirable.
