**Job Title:** Sr. Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary:** Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure. Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform architecture with organizational needs.
**Expectations:** Drive technical innovation in cloud platforms, optimize performance and cost-efficiency, resolve complex infrastructure issues, and evaluate emerging technologies for implementation. Requires leadership in agile environments and alignment with compliance standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Lead engineering teams, mentoring and fostering collaboration.
- Define platform requirements with software engineering and security teams.
- Implement scalable, secure architectures and automate deployment/testing workflows.
- Monitor system performance, costs, and health, recommending improvements.
- Troubleshoot network, storage, and compute resource issues.
- Evaluate infrastructure tools and technologies for performance enhancement.
- Define platform roadmaps in alignment with stakeholder priorities.
- Document technical processes and knowledge.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Deep experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
- Leadership in engineering teams and mentoring.
- Mastery of networking, security, and system administration principles.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills for system optimization.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Project management and adaptability in dynamic environments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional-level certifications in cloud or IT.
- Additional required skills: service mesh implementation, data workflow orchestration (Airflow/Kubeflow), DevOps automation (Jenkins/GitLab), AWS database migration, vulnerability management, GitOps tools (ArgoCD), infrastructure monitoring (SigNoz), API secret management, custom AMI creation (Packer), and multi-region AWS deployment.
