**Job Title:** SQL Developer / Database Manager
**Role Summary:**
Remote, 12‑month fixed‑term contract (40 hrs/week) supporting a fast‑growing organization. Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure, automating reporting workflows, and delivering actionable BI insights. Works closely with business stakeholders to align data solutions with operational needs and ensures long‑term efficiency of reporting processes.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver high‑quality, scalable data models and ETL pipelines.
- Manage Azure resources for performance, security, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Automate reporting using Power Platform, SSIS, Data Factory, and Azure DevOps.
- Provide expert support for Power BI, Power Query, and SQL issues.
- Produce clear documentation and train end‑users.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design dimensional models (Kimball) and implement data warehouses.
- Develop, test, and maintain SSIS packages and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
- Oversee Azure environment (SQL Database, Synapse, storage) and implement DevOps CI/CD practices.
- Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for finance, care, and operational shifts.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading using Power Automate and SharePoint integration.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance.
- Document data models, ETL processes, and reporting procedures; conduct user training sessions.
- Act as primary point of contact for data‑related queries and troubleshoot performance issues.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced SQL (T‑SQL) and data manipulation expertise.
- Proficient with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, Power Platform, and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services (SQL Database, Synapse, AD, DevOps).
- Experience in dimensional modeling (Kimball) and ETL design.
- Ability to write and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Problem‑solving orientation with a focus on data quality and automation.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or similar certifications.
- Relevant experience (5+ years) in SQL development, database management, and BI reporting preferred.
