Job Description
**Job Title** AI Strategist – Innovations and Projects **Role Summary** Lead the development and execution of AI initiatives to improve operational efficiency, fundraising, and workforce‑development programs. Translate complex AI concepts into actionable strategies, manage end‑to‑end AI project lifecycles, and promote data‑driven innovation across the organization. **Expectations** - Define and maintain a long‑term AI roadmap aligned with organizational goals. - Deliver measurable AI solutions while ensuring ethical use and compliance. - Serve as the primary AI liaison for all internal stakeholders. - Build AI literacy through training and hands‑on support. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and champion an AI strategy covering workforce development, retail operations, e‑commerce, logistics, donation management, and donor relations. - Identify, prototype, and implement AI‑powered tools; track performance against defined KPIs. - Collect, clean, and analyze data; build statistical and machine‑learning models for donor segmentation, predictive fundraising, and program evaluation. - Communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences and secure cross‑functional buy‑in. - Establish and enforce AI governance policies, monitor bias, and ensure data protection. - Design and deliver practical training sessions to increase organization‑wide AI competence. - Report progress, risks, and issues to the VP of IT, Strategy and Innovation. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Python; experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks. - Strong data‑visualization abilities (e.g., Power BI) and database management. - Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI/LLM tool deployment. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify technical concepts. - Project management and multitasking skills; comfortable with public speaking. - Quick learner, capable of working independently or within a team. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel within the service area. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. - Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred. - Demonstrated professional experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and hands‑on AI implementation. - Experience managing AI projects and collaborating with cross‑functional teams; nonprofit or mission‑driven experience is a plus.
