Job Description
Job Title: Project Engineer Intern – Fall 2025 Role Summary: Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects, serving as the liaison between field personnel and office staff while maintaining schedule and budget. Expactations: Demonstrate initiative, strong communication, and analytical skills; actively engage in safety, quality control, procurement, and change-order processes; collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and BIM team to track materials, equipment, and prefabricated assemblies. - Monitor jobsite safety, enforce company safety culture, and report incidents. - Participate in change‑order management and Accubid estimating. - Analyze subcontract agreements and project pricing. - Maintain detailed job logs (transmittals, submittals, RFIs). - Support quality control monitoring and inspection activities. - Manage labor schedules in partnership with superintendents and PMs. - Conduct site visits to learn trade details and enhance project performance. Required Skills: - Basic mathematical ability for cost and data analysis. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. - Proactive mindset for process improvement. - Ability to work effectively across all organization levels. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field. - Prior construction or internship experience preferred.
