Job Description

Job Title: Event Planner Role Summary: Support events operations by managing event plans, coordinating client requirements, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution. Expectations: Collaborate with sales teams, suppliers, and hotel departments; maintain system updates; and maximize revenue through strategic sales opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct handover of converted bookings with Sales Team Leader. - Initiate client/agent introduction calls and document requirements. - Coordinate pre-conference meetings, menu tastings, and function sheet meetings. - Prepare and distribute event plans, BEOs, and rooming lists. - Monitor and update room allocation systems to ensure auto-release compliance. - Facilitate audiovisual supplier coordination. - Validate menu balances and content for multi-day events. - Administer payment methods, credit checks, and approvals for discounts/complimentary items. - Generate sales leads from client relationships. Required Skills: - Client relationship management - Project coordination and organization - Multitasking in fast-paced environments - Communication and negotiation - Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Event management certification preferred; industry-specific training advantageous
