Job Description: Job Title: Functional Specialist Role Summary: The Functional Specialist bridges clinical expertise with system implementation for nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and paramedicine teams. They translate clinical workflows into functional system specifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and improving patient care efficiency. Expactations: Provide functional analysis, support configuration, train staff, gather requirements, manage change, and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct functional gap analysis between clinical workflows and existing systems. - Translate clinical requirements into functional specifications for technology solutions. - Collaborate with IT, vendor, and project teams to configure, test, and deploy systems. - Facilitate training and support for clinical staff on new functional features. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and document solutions. - Create user guides, process documentation, and maintain a knowledge base. - Provide feedback on product enhancements and best practices. - Participate in cross‑functional project teams to meet delivery milestones. Required Skills: - Clinical background in nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or paramedicine. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. - Experience with electronic health records or clinical information systems preferred. - Basic project management knowledge. - Ability to work independently in a hybrid (remote/on‑site) environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Paramedicine, or equivalent. - Certified professional credential (e.g., RN, PT, OT, paramedic license). - Functional specialist certification or relevant IT functional training is advantageous.
