Job Description
**Job Title** Data Loss Prevention Analyst **Role Summary** Responsible for establishing and managing Microsoft Purview data governance pipelines to scan, classify, and protect enterprise data assets. Works across IT, security, and network teams to ensure seamless connectivity to data sources, maintain scanning schedules, and enforce classification policies. **Expectations** - Develop and maintain Purview integration runtime environments, including self‑hosted runtimes and connection credentials. - Coordinate with firewall, network, and data owner groups to secure required access paths. - Analyze classification results, refine rulesets, and report findings to stakeholders. - Operate independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams; respond to incidents outside normal hours as needed. **Key Responsibilities** - Configure and administer Purview Data Map and Unified Catalog. - Create and manage Self‑Hosted Integration Runtimes (SHIRs) and connect them to VNets. - Manage database credentials stored in Purview Key Vault. - Register and catalogue data sources (Databricks, SQL Server, etc.) in Purview. - Design, update, and maintain scan rule sets for diverse data types. - Liaise with firewall teams to establish rules allowing Purview traffic behind firewalls. - Collaborate with requestors to identify VNet locations of data sources. - Work with DnA Service Delivery to provision SHIRs and manage Azure nodes. - Review scanned data, apply appropriate classification, and adjust policies. **Required Skills** - Deep knowledge of Microsoft Purview governance tools. - Strong grasp of data protection principles, classification frameworks, and compliance requirements. - Experience with network security concepts, encryption, and secure data transfer. - Analytical and problem‑solving abilities; adept at translating technical findings into actionable policies. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Self‑directed and capable of working independently within a team environment. - Discretion in handling sensitive information; readiness to respond to incidents outside business hours. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years in Cyber Security. - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
