**Job Title** Engineering Internship – Automated Flight Data Analysis System Development **Role Summary** Develop a fully automated software solution to analyze drone flight logs and generate diagnostic reports on aircraft health. Responsibilities include script creation for log parsing, test‑flight automation, and continuous integration of new flight data. **Expectations** - Deliver a Python/C++ tool that automatically processes flight logs, detects anomalies, and outputs concise health diagnostics. - Automate standardized test flights to validate drone performance over time. - Ensure reproducibility, safety, and secure handling of incoming flight data. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Log Analysis Tool** – Study PX4/MAVLink flight log formats, identify diagnostic variables, and develop automated extraction and interpretation logic. 2. **Anomaly Detection** – Implement algorithms to identify drift, wear, or faulty sensor behavior. 3. **Reporting** – Generate automated diagnostic reports summarizing motor health, battery status, sensor integrity, etc. 4. **Test‑Flight Automation** – Design and script a diagnostic flight scenario; auto‑launch it using existing Python or C++ tools, ensuring repeatability and safety. 5. **Continuous Integration** – Set up a pipeline that triggers analysis and reporting whenever new flight logs are uploaded to the server. **Required Skills** - Programming: Python, C++ - Drone Ecosystem: PX4 firmware, MAVLink protocol, ROS framework - DevOps: Linux operating system, Git version control - Data Handling: Log parsing, time‑series analysis, basic statistics - Knowledge of drone hardware: propulsion, battery, sensor suites **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment as a final‑year engineering student or master’s candidate in Computer Science, Robotics, Aeronautics, or Embedded Systems. - No specific certifications required. ---
