Job Description: Job Title: Geomatics Analyst Role Summary: Junior analyst supporting geospatial data processing, mapping, and database management for national defence operations. Expectations: Deliver accurate, timely digital maps and charts; maintain GIS quality standards; collaborate with cartographic and spatial analysis teams. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, process, and manage geospatial and mapping data. - Produce and update digital maps and charts. - Perform GIS editing, QA/QC, and metadata management. - Support cartographic and spatial analysis tasks. Required Skills: - Proficient with ArcGIS Pro or QGIS. - Strong understanding of geospatial data handling and map production. - Ability to perform QA/QC and maintain metadata standards. - Effective communication in English. - (Nice‑to‑have) Basic Python, FME, or spatial database knowledge; experience with remote sensing or defence mapping standards. Required Education & Certifications: - Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Geography, GIS, Surveying, or Cartography. - Up to 3 years related GIS or geomatics experience. - Valid Government of Canada Reliability Status or higher security clearance. - Canadian citizenship, residing in Canada; must live in Ottawa or be willing to relocate.
