Job Description
**Job title** National Account Manager **Role summary** Drive growth for a chilled‑drink startup by managing three key supermarket accounts (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and others) and expanding into new retail partners. Build and sustain strategic relationships, negotiate pricing and distribution, and coordinate in‑store and online activations to increase brand penetration and sales. **Expectations** * Deliver sustainable account growth aligned with business objectives. * Negotiate pricing, distribution, range extensions, and new product launches. * Foster long‑term relationships with major accounts and act as liaison between customers and internal teams. * Identify and pursue new business development opportunities in new channels and markets. **Key responsibilities** 1. Build long‑term, strategic relationships with major supermarket accounts. 2. Coordinate in‑store and online activations to drive consumer awareness, penetration, and conversion. 3. Act as conduit of information between customers and internal teams. 4. Negotiate pricing, distribution, range extensions, and new product launches to meet or exceed targets. 5. Analyze competitor and market dynamics; advocate ideas that deliver growth. 6. Work with the designated distributor to maximise availability and deliver exceptional customer service by providing forecasted sales and activity plans. 7. Develop and negotiate brand plans using market and consumer insight. 8. Identify, support, and lead new business development opportunities across customers, channels, and markets. 9. Develop and streamline the account management function to support future growth. **Required skills** * Strong FMCG account management and sales experience. * Proven ability to negotiate pricing, distribution, and range extensions. * Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder management skills. * Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market and consumer data. * Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a hybrid environment. * Prior experience with major UK supermarket chains (Sainsbury’s, Tesco) and/or chilled drinks is highly desirable. **Required education & certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). * No specific certifications required, but knowledge of FMCG sales or account management certifications is a plus.
