Job Description: **Job Title:** Business Automation Engineer **Role Summary** Automate and optimize manual business processes at the intersection of operations, technology, and business strategy. Focus on building robust internal tools, coaching teams on automation principles, and driving innovation with emerging AI/tech solutions to enhance operational efficiency. **Expectations** Candidate must be a technical problem-solver with a business mindset, capable of translating process needs into scalable automation solutions. Must prioritize accuracy in documentation, error-handling, and system maintainability. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, deploy, and maintain cross-functional automations using no-code tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) and scripting (Python/JavaScript). - Collaborate with business teams to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and architect data-integrated solutions. - Provide technical guidance to non-technical teams on automation platforms and best practices. - Monitor AI/automation trends, prototype new tools, and suggest integrations for the product roadmap. - Partner with Product teams to refine automation scope, assess feasibility, and suggest improvement opportunities. **Required Skills** - 1-3 years in operations-technology hybrid roles (e.g., business analyst, tech consultant). - Proficiency in no-code automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) with hands-on experience in end-to-end automation. - Strong foundational knowledge of Python/JavaScript for API integration and data manipulation. - Understanding of SQL, database structures, and data flow logic. - Analytical mindset for process optimization and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Fluent English communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience. - Certifications in automation platforms (e.g., Make, Zapier) or business process modeling are advantageous.
