Job Description
**Job Title:** Human Resources Manager **Role Summary:** Provide temporary maternity cover as a 12‑month, full‑time HR Manager in a fast‑paced, SME/start‑up environment. Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR strategy execution to support business objectives and enhance culture. **Expectations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end HR solutions within a dynamic setting. - Ensure compliance with UK employment law and partner with the Employer of Record (EOR). - Coach managers on people practices and drive continuous improvement in talent management. - Maintain accurate HR records and reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage employee contractual relations, record‑keeping, and payroll coordination with Finance and EOR. - Resolve employee relations issues, coach managers, and mitigate related risks. - Implement performance review cycles and provide feedback coaching. - Lead initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention. - Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures. - Oversee compensation and benefits programmes, including renewal cycles. **Required Skills:** - Experience in start‑ups or SMEs. - Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and compliance. - Proficiency with HRIS and other HR software, plus MS Office. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills. - Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast‑paced environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification preferred.
