Job title: Director of IT & Security Role Summary: Lead enterprise‑wide IT strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity for a regulated, multi‑site health care organization. Drive digital transformation, cloud optimization, and AI initiatives while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, PHIA, and emerging privacy regulations. Serve as trusted advisor to executive leadership and build a high‑performance, innovative IT organization from the ground up. Expactations: - 8–10+ years of senior IT leadership with a balance of strategy and hands‑on expertise in regulated environments. - Demonstrated success in complex, multi‑site transformations and cloud deployments. - Strong cybersecurity background with experience developing and enforcing risk‑management policies. - Proven ability to partner across finance, operations, and executive teams to align technology with business goals. - Entrepreneurial mindset focused on building scalable systems and teams in growth contexts. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement end‑to‑end IT architecture for Canada and U.S. operations. - Lead enterprise cybersecurity program: threat assessment, risk mitigation, policy development, and compliance (HIPAA, PHIA). - Optimize cloud and collaboration platforms, notably a unified Microsoft 365 tenant with embedded controls. - Drive digital transformation initiatives, including process automation, AI, and data analytics, to improve care delivery and operational efficiency. - Develop and enforce forward‑thinking IT and AI policies aligned with privacy, ethics, and operational excellence. - Partner with operations and finance to create scalable technology roadmaps, including due diligence and integration during acquisitions. - Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, delivering cybersecurity training and mentoring future IT talent. - Translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. Required Skills: - Enterprise IT strategy & architecture - Cloud computing (Azure or comparable) - Microsoft 365 administration - Cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance (HIPAA, PHIA) - Digital transformation and process automation - AI strategy & policy development - Cross‑functional stakeholder engagement - Strong communication and presentation skills - Leadership of mature or building IT teams Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Industry certifications highly valued: CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate. ---
