**Job Title:** Medical-Psychological Assistant (M/F)
**Role Summary:**
Provide direct support to children and young adults (ages 3‑20) with neuro‑developmental disorders, primarily autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability, many of whom are non‑verbal. Work within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate daily living activities, implement alternative communication methods, and contribute to individualized educational and therapeutic projects in an Institut Médico‑Educatif (IME).
**Expectations:**
- 38 h 25 min weekly schedule, covering site hours 07:00‑21:30, with 212‑213 annual open days.
- Fixed holidays aligned with the school calendar.
- 12‑month fixed‑term contract (CDD).
- Demonstrated competence in alternative communication systems (e.g., PECS, ABA, TEACCH, French Sign Language).
- Ability to observe, report, and act on signs of distress or maladaptation.
- Collaborative attitude with staff, families, and external partners.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist children with personal care, feeding, dressing, and hygiene; support participation in leisure and educational activities.
- Observe and document needs, well‑being, and behavioral cues; inform supervisors of any concerns.
- Distribute medication and accompany youths to external appointments (e.g., internships, medical visits).
- Contribute to the drafting, implementation, and continuity of individualized projects and activity plans.
- Plan, organize, and evaluate educational and therapeutic activities; participate in annual educational trips and activity reviews.
- Produce professional written reports (notes, syntheses, evaluations) for coordinators and service managers.
- Participate in institutional meetings, training sessions, and policy monitoring; tutor interns and engage in practice analysis.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience as a Medical‑Psychological Assistant (AMP) in a neuro‑developmental or special‑education setting.
- Proficiency with alternative communication tools (PECS, ABA, TEACCH, French Sign Language, or similar).
- Strong analytical and synthesis abilities; excellent written communication.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust with non‑verbal individuals and families.
- Competence in information gathering, sharing, and confidentiality handling.
- Good command of standard office software and digital documentation tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- State Diploma of Medical‑Psychological Assistant (Diplôme d’État d’Aide Médico‑Psychologique – DEAMP) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Additional certifications/training in alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, ABA, TEACCH, French Sign Language) are highly desirable.
