**Job Title:** Head of Sourcing (12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract)
**Role Summary:**
Leads the development and execution of a 3‑year global sourcing strategy for a fast‑growing apparel brand. Owns supplier relationships, spend, capacity, and performance to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective products in line with the business calendar. Provides strategic direction, drives continuous improvement, and builds a high‑performing sourcing team.
**Expectations:**
- Define and achieve departmental goals aligned with overall Apparel & Accessories strategy.
- Deliver on category margin targets while maintaining quality and ethical standards.
- Coach and develop a diverse sourcing team, fostering a culture of inclusion and performance.
- Influence senior leadership through clear reporting on KPIs, spend, and strategy outcomes.
- Maintain on‑site presence (≈4 days/week) to collaborate with product and supply‑chain functions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement 3‑year supplier strategies covering capability, capacity, quality, and cost.
- Lead vendor allocation, order placement, and raw‑material spend planning.
- Partner with suppliers to review investments, manage commitments, and unlock technical/commercial opportunities.
- Own sourcing calendars, processes, policies, and responsible buying practices.
- Produce accurate costing documentation and margin/spend reports.
- Monitor market, technology, and regulatory trends to identify new sourcing markets/categories.
- Manage supplier performance via scorecards, capacity targets, savings initiatives, and margin KPIs.
- Conduct factory visits to assess capabilities, drive re‑engineering, and ensure product excellence.
- Design team roles, delegate tasks, and embed performance‑driven culture.
- Present departmental KPIs and strategy updates to senior leadership.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep knowledge of garment component pricing, manufacturing processes, and production management.
- Strong analytical ability with data‑driven decision making.
- Solid financial/commercial acumen (budget, costing, margin management).
- Expertise in regional sourcing practices, trade agreements, ethical compliance, and material/trim testing.
- Proven track record in apparel manufacturing and product development.
- Excellent people management and coaching capabilities.
- Superior written and verbal communication; confident influencer at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PLM or comparable data‑management systems.
- Ability to build and sustain global supplier relationships; culturally adaptable.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CIPS) advantageous but not mandatory.
