Job Description
Job Title: Tax Manager (15‑Month FTC) Role Summary Oversee global corporate tax compliance and advisory, manage a Tax Executive, and lead audits and tax initiatives for a fast‑growing international brand. Act as the primary contact for external advisers, tax authorities, and senior stakeholders, ensuring accurate filing, risk management, and strategic tax planning. Expectations * Deliver timely, accurate UK and overseas corporate tax returns. * Manage multiple compliance and advisory workstreams autonomously. * Lead tax audits and respond to enquiries from authorities. * Proactively monitor new legislation and assess impact. * Identify and realise tax‑saving opportunities and manage cash‑flow forecasts. * Provide trusted tax advice to support business growth and expansion. Key Responsibilities * Manage global corporate tax compliance, including UK and overseas returns. * Prepare in‑house filings and coordinate with external advisors. * Ensure accurate end‑to‑end tax accounting under IFRS and FRS102. * Support transfer‑pricing strategy, calculations, and documentation. * Oversee capital allowances, R&D claims, and related external advisor work. * Prepare group tax cash‑flow forecasts and identify tax risks. * Lead responses to tax enquiries, manage audits, and liaise with HMRC and overseas authorities. * Assist with future obligations such as Country‑by‑Country Reporting and Pillar 2 readiness. * Line‑manage a Tax Executive, delegating work and coaching development. * Collaborate with the wider Tax Team on employment tax, PAYE settlement, benefits in kind, off‑payroll worker reviews, employee benefits across jurisdictions, short‑term business visitor, and global mobility reporting. Required Skills * ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent). * Minimum 2 years at Manager level in practice or in‑house. * Specialist knowledge of Direct Taxes; awareness of other tax areas. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. * Commercially minded with solid tax risk‑management acumen. * Highly organised, able to prioritise and solve problems under pressure. * Proficient with IT tools; interest in using technology to improve efficiency. * Preferred: experience in‑house tax, familiarity with NetSuite, SAP, or Alteryx. Required Education & Certifications * ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
