**Job Title:** Solids Control Field Technician **Role Summary:** Oversees mechanical processes for enhanced drilling operations, solids management, and drilling fluid recycling. Completes on-the-job training on specialized equipment to support efficiency and cost savings. Work involves field deployment across Canada. **Expectations:** - Work 14-day shifts (12 hours daily) with a 7-day rotation. - Adhere to safety-sensitive protocols, including PPE compliance and daily safety meetings. - Operate equipment under supervision and complete required documentation (PJRA/JSA, inspection reports). - Maintain clean work environments using pressure washing equipment. - Travel to remote locations and work extended periods away from home (14+ days). **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate/care for solids control equipment (shaker tanks, centrifuges, pumps). - Perform solids control services (barite recovery, de-watering, cuttings drying). - Analyze drilling fluid properties (viscosity, retort analysis) and conduct fluid transfers. - Conduct routine maintenance and electrical services on machinery. - Safely operate excavators, forklifts, and wheel loaders (certification provided). - Collaborate with field leaders and technicians to optimize drilling solutions. **Required Skills:** - Mechanical aptitude with electronics comprehension. - Problem-solving, time management, and customer service skills. - Proficiency in data entry via company systems and basic Microsoft Office. - Ability to work independently and in teams. - Physical stamina for outdoor work in variable weather. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma or GED. - Associate’s degree/diploma in Technology, Electronics, or Mechanics preferred. - Valid provincial driver’s license. - Certifications obtained pre-employment: H2S, WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), CPR/First Aid. - Prior forklift/excavator experience/certifications preferred. - English literacy (read/write/comprehend). - Trainee progresses to Field Level 1 via performance evaluations.

Job Description
**Job Title:** Shop Technician – Entry Level **Role Summary:** Perform assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of general equipment used in solids control. Operate hand, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power tools as well as material handling equipment (forklift, front‑end loader, overhead crane). Support the Shop Manager with logistics, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure equipment is prepared for shipment and installation. **Expectations:** - Full‑time schedule: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Mon‑Fri; overtime, occasional weekends and holidays required. - Ability to lift ≈ 23 kg (50 lb) and perform physical tasks (climbing, stooping, reaching, etc.). - Fluent written and spoken English. - Valid driver’s license with acceptable record and reliable personal transportation. - Reliability, accountability, and adherence to safety standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assemble, prepare, and verify equipment for installation and service. - Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and rebuild pumps and related machinery. - Load and unload equipment on trailers; pack, wrap, and secure shipments. - Operate hot‑water pressure washer and other cleaning equipment as needed. - Assist with facility projects (moving items, cleaning, trash removal). - Apply S3S decals and complete required documentation before shipping. - Request tools, supplies, and fixtures; maintain inventory of shop materials. - Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide work. - Operate front‑end loaders, forklifts, and overhead cranes safely. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency with power hand tools, pneumatic/hydraulic/electric tools, and precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers). - Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment inspection and repair. - Manual dexterity and control precision. - Critical‑thinking and deductive‑reasoning abilities. - Ability to read technical drawings and follow assembly/disassembly procedures. - Safe operation of material‑handling equipment (forklift, loader, crane). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: High school diploma. - Preferred: 2‑year technical degree or Associate’s degree in a related field. - Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. - Forklift certification or demonstrated forklift operation experience (preferred).
