Job Title: Business Development Manager Role Summary: Drive revenue growth by generating leads, researching markets, and securing new freight and logistics contracts across Canada and the U.S. Build and maintain client relationships, analyze market trends, and develop tailored business strategies to expand service offerings. Expectations: - Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets. - Grow the client portfolio through proactive prospecting and relationship management. - Deliver high-quality customer service and support throughout the sales cycle. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align market insights with product/service offerings. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and qualify potential clients in the transportation and logistics sector. - Conduct market research to uncover emerging opportunities and competitive dynamics. - Initiate outreach via phone, email, and industry events to generate new business leads. - Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contract terms to prospective customers. - Negotiate agreements and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction. - Track sales pipeline, update CRM records, and report progress to senior management. - Analyze sales data and market trends to refine strategies and forecast revenue. Required Skills: - Proven lead generation and prospecting abilities. - Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. - Experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry is advantageous.
