**Job title:** Cyber Security Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the cybersecurity framework that protects Hadron Energy’s engineering data, digital control systems, and enterprise networks across IT and OT environments. Involved in risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance activities to safeguard critical intellectual property during the design, development, and manufacturing of micro modular reactors.
**Expectations:**
- Ensure continuous protection of advanced energy systems and sensitive data.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, operations, and engineering to embed security controls into product design and lifecycle.
- Maintain regulatory and industry compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NRC/DOE requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Develop, implement, and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and NRC guidelines.
2. Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests on IT and OT systems.
3. Monitor network traffic, logs, and alerts; analyze for threats and respond promptly.
4. Collaborate with engineering and IT to secure instrumentation & control (I&C) systems, digital twin environments, and vendor integrations.
5. Design and implement access controls, encryption, and endpoint protection strategies.
6. Maintain incident response plans; coordinate rapid remediation of security incidents.
7. Coordinate compliance activities, audits, and cybersecurity reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Assist in data governance, digital forensics, and secure handling of sensitive information.
9. Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and best practices relevant to energy and critical infrastructure sectors.
**Required Skills:**
- Knowledge of SIEM, endpoint detection, firewall, and vulnerability management tools.
- Strong understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and DOE/NRC cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience with network protocols, threat analysis, and incident response workflows.
- Familiarity with securing industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, or embedded systems.
- Proficient in risk assessment, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication abilities.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and analytical approach to cybersecurity defense.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–7 years of cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration experience, preferably in energy, defense, or critical infrastructure.
- Relevant certifications highly desirable: CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent.
